The great news for Indian nationals with UAE residency 🇮🇳🇦🇪 is that Kyrgyzstan offers a visa on arrival. You can easily travel with a Visa on Arrival from the UAE ✈️ or from other countries with an e-visa 🌍. If you're considering a refreshing trip to Bishkek, you’ll find it won’t break the bank! 🏞️ Kyrgyzstan is one of the most welcoming countries we’ve visited, so there’s no need to worry about safety 😌.

I’ll also be mentioning the Instagram profiles of some top local tour operators 📸. You can pay them at least one day before you arrive in Bishkek, and they offer various payment options 💳. You can take a direct bus 🚌 from Ibn Battuta Mall to AUH Airport, or park your car 🚗 at a friend’s place in Abu Dhabi, as we did. Alternatively, you can opt for Air Arabia or Fly Dubai ✈️. For travelers from India, while there are no direct flights, you can check for layover options via Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, or even Almaty 🌍.


### Finding Local Tours 🚶‍♂️🗺️

Local tour operators in Kyrgyzstan offer authentic, immersive experiences focused on the country's stunning landscapes 🌄, nomadic culture 🏕️, and adventure activities 🧗‍♀️. ### Visa Information ✈️

As an Indian citizen with a UAE residency visa 🛂, you have several options to travel to Bishkek 🌍:

1. Visa on Arrival: You can obtain a Visa on Arrival at the airport 🏢. There is a kiosk right outside the flight area, where they accept card payments 💳. However, be prepared for a long wait ⏳ due to high demand.  

2. E-Visa: You can apply for an e-visa 🖥️ through the official Kyrgyzstan e-visa portal 🌐, which allows you to get your visa online before your trip 🌍.  The cost is 51USD.

3. Visa-Free Entry: If you hold a long-term multiple-entry visa from countries such as the USA 🇺🇸, UK 🇬🇧, or the Schengen Zone 🇪🇺, you may be eligible for a visa-free stay of up to 7 days 🗓️. This option doesn't apply to those with a UAE residency visa 🇦🇪.

### Finding Accommodation 🏩

Here are some budget-friendly accommodation options in Bishkek 🏙️:

1. Hostels:  

   - Apple Hostel Bishkek 🍏: Affordable dorms and a central location 🏙️.  

   - Nomad's Home Bishkek 🏠: Cozy vibes with free breakfast 🍽️.

### Currency and SIM Cards 💰📱

Currency exchange at Manas International Airport (FRU) is convenient 💸, but it’s best to only exchange a small amount initially for things like transport 🚖. ATMs are also available at the airport 🏦, allowing withdrawals in KGS using international cards (Visa/MasterCard) 💳.

Getting a SIM card at the airport is simple 📲. You can choose between the following options:

- Megacom: Known for good coverage and speed 🌐.  

- Beeline: Affordable and widely available 🏪.  

- O!: Offers competitive data packages 📶.

If you miss getting a SIM at the airport, you can easily buy one from official stores or kiosks in the city 🏙️.


### Essential Apps 📱

Here are some essential apps to download before your trip 🌍:

- 2GIS: Offline maps for cities like Bishkek 🗺️.  

- Yandex Go: For taxis and ride-hailing 🚖.  

- Google Translate: Download Russian or Kyrgyz for offline use 🌍.  

- Booking.com or Hostelworld: For accommodation booking 🛏️.  

- Glovo: For food delivery in the cities 🍕.
